To Be, Rather Than to Seem

Placement Exam

In order to determine placement in both math and Latin or Spanish, you will need to come to the placement test on Saturday, April 14th, at 8:00 a.m. This is for any student interested in a placement higher than Algebra I, Spanish I or Latin I. If you are okay with those placements, you do not need to attend.

Students should email their college counselor, below, to register for testing day:

Each test is approximately 90 minutes. Students taking only one test should be finished by 10:00 a.m. Students taking a math and Spanish or Latin test will have a short break between the tests and should be finished before 11:30 a.m. No calculators will be used for the math test.

This summer, we will offer a course in geometry for credit for the first time. If you pass the algebra exam, you may consider the geometry course for credit. The course has required attendance and takes the majority of the summer. If you do not pass the algebra exam, we will be offering a four-week algebra refresher course that students may complete to move forward to Algebra II. More information on these courses is available here.
