Students Take On J.P.Morgan's GenerationTech Competition

Juniors Clare G., Haley K., Rachel T. and Ellie R. attended J.P.Morgan’s GenerationTech competition. J.P.Morgan invited students from the Tampa Bay area to tackle a technology-based problem for two non-for-profit organizations they work with--Give Kids the World and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. The students were put into teams at random with a J.P.Morgan employee as a mentor and were taught a new program to build wireframes. They had two hours to prepare an app or website that would address the organization’s current needs. After that, a panel of eight judges listened to mini three-minute pitches from the groups. The top four groups made it to the second round where they presented their app and answered questions from a panel of judges. Clare G.’s group came in 1st place!
