To Be, Rather Than to Seem

Students in Computer Science Principles Create Apps for Non-Profits

Over the spring semester, students in AP Computer Science Principles worked with non-profit organizations to help create and enhance the organizations’ applications, or apps, based on the specific needs of the non-profit. Some examples include an app for Bess the Book Bus that helps children with their reading skills, an app for The Spring of Tampa Bay that focuses on mental health and an app for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay that includes a post-therapy survey. Usually, the students would have presented their apps at Pitch Day at the University of Tampa, but this year they created pitch videos. Take a moment to watch some of the videos to see the amazing work from our CSP students!
