To Be, Rather Than to Seem

Students Attend 50th Annual March for Life

Over the weekend, members of the Academy's Respect Life Club, along with Ms. Franklin, traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the 50th annual March for Life — an inspiring, peaceful, and joy-filled rally. Each day began with Mass and ended with prayer and reflection time. Students toured the Capitol and met with the Majority Leader of the House, Steve Scalise, who was also a speaker at the March for Life rally.

During the four-day trip, students visited the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, where they met up with AHN alumna Sofia Tweed, and the Saint John Paul II National Shrine, where they found Marie Rose Durocher's name in the Communion of Saints gallery, and the Holocaust Museum. In addition, they took in the sights of the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Monument, the World War II Memorial, and the American Art Museum. They even managed time for fun, with ice skating at the National Sculpture Garden and attending an NBA game!
