Seniors Raise Funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The team of Olivia P. A’20 and Olivia T. A’20 won The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Suncoast Chapter Student(s) of the Year Award. With the help of their Academy teammates, these two ladies showed their philanthropic leadership by raising $113,650, which enabled them to fund and name two full $50,000 grants. Olivia T. raised funds in honor of her brother, Michael, who is a leukemia survivor, and Olivia P. raised money for LLS Children’s Care and Initiative for Children with Cancer in memory of Owen Day. The title of Student(s) of the Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidate team in each community that raises the most funds during the seven-week competition. This is the second year in a row that Academy’s Team Gold has won LLS Student of the Year! Congratulations to Olivia P. and Olivia T. for their hard work and dedication toward this cause.
