Rowers Selected for Olympic Development Program

After winning Florida Scholastic State Championships in the spring, Emory P. A'22 and Teryn C. A'24 were selected to the USRowing U19 Olympic Development Program over the summer. The USRowing Junior National team selects 380 of the top rowers and coxswains across the country using regatta results, erg times and coxswain audio to participate in an intensive four-week program. After three weeks of 15 hour days that included weight training, erging, classroom training, and two-a-days on the water, each region headed down to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota for the final week to compete in the USRowing "Summer Cup" regatta. Emory's 8+ finished 1st in the B Final (3rd overall) and 2nd in the 4+ A Final, while Teryn's 4+ finished 3rd in the B Final and her 4X finished 4th in the B Final. Congratulations to both on their dedication and drive while representing the best of AHN this past summer!
