Lake House Memories

This beautiful lake house is nestled just north of the Adirondack Mountains, in Plattsburgh, New York. Just down the road is Ausable Chasm, a must-see attraction with nature trails, scenic views, rock climbing, gemstone mining, repelling tours, and white-water rafting to enjoy with your family and friends. It is the oldest natural attraction in the U.S., established in the late 1800s. The lake house is also located one hour from Montreal and provides easy access for those wishing to visit the home of Blessed Marie Rose. The home, which accommodates up to 14 guests, was completely renovated in 2015 with an updated and fully stocked kitchen, family room, sun room, deck, 4 1/2 bathrooms, and 6 bedrooms (two masters). Enjoy autumn foliage, lakeside water fun and the breathtaking views of Lake Champlain with family and friends in a quiet, kid-friendly and safe community. The Green Mountains of Vermont are a beautiful backdrop as you, family, and/or friends enjoy relaxing panoramic views of Lake Champlain and access to the private beach from the backyard. There is a new view every morning that you and your party will enjoy as you play ping pong, pool, or board games, read books, and watch videos or DVDs. This is a smoke-free environment. The winning bidder will select the college of their choice to be on display for all to see. No school is too big or too small for Academy support. A custom cake made by our own baking prodigy right here at Academy. Katie, an 11 year old 5th grade AHN student, aspires to own her own restaurant and cook with the food she grows herself. She dreams of attending culinary school as well as studying food science at Clemson to ultimately combine her technical education and creativity to develop new exciting recipes. This evening she presents a four-layer lemon cake with lemon curd filling, buttercream icing with mottled blackberry. Katie even used eggs from her own chickens in the baking of this beautiful dessert. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to taste the masterpiece of the next great baker.
