To Be, Rather Than to Seem

Kairos IV Bonds Academy Students in Faith

After all-school Mass on January 6, 38 juniors and seniors departed for Parrish, Florida, for AHN’s 4th annual Kairos retreat. The word Kairos comes from a Greek word for “God’s time.” The Lord was ever-present to them as their hearts were lit aflame through talks on the power of prayer, friendship with God, and time to worship, pray in different styles, and cultivate community. During Kairos, members of the Peer Ministry class shared their faith, led small group reflections, and journeyed alongside the retreatants. In addition, there were opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, Mass, and personal prayer throughout the weekend. On Friday, they arrived as friends; on Sunday, they departed as sisters-in-Christ!
