AHN ROWING CLUB (Spring Season 2019)
The AHN Rowing Club will begin holding practices for the spring season beginning Monday, January 7. There will be a mandatory meeting for all those who are planning to row or are interested in rowing in the Brady Center on Wednesday, January 8, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. All returning rowers, along with any interested new members, should begin attending practices on January 7. There will be a two week trial period for all new rowers. Forms and non- refundable payment will be due January 19. Returning rowers may download forms from Team Snap and return with payment at the January 7 meeting.
The Spring practice schedule is as follows beginning on January 7th, 2019:
- Mondays: 3:30-6:15 p.m. at Julian B. Lane Park Boathouse (402 W Laurel St, Tampa, FL 33602)
- Tuesdays: 3:30-4:45 p.m. at Diesel Fitness (515 N. Newport Ave, Tampa, FL 33606)
- Wednesdays: OFF
- Thursdays: 3:30-6:15 p.m. at JBL
- Fridays: 3:30-6:15 p.m. at JBL
- Saturdays: 7:45-10:30 a.m. at JBL and 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at Diesel.
**Mandatory practice will be held during all of Spring Break as our State Championships are the following weekend.**
Please note that participation in this program requires an additional fee of approximately $1,000 per season. Those interested in being part of AHN Crew will need to coordinate their own transportation from AHN to JBL/Diesel with most girls traveling via carpools.
HS SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
Tryouts for high school softball will be held on the following days:
- Tuesday, January 22: 5:00-6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 23: 5:00-6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, January 24: 5:00-7:00 p.m.

HS TENNIS TRYOUTS
There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the high school tennis team on Tuesday, January 15, at 3:30 p.m. in room N205. The tennis team will hold tryouts at the Sandra Freeman Tennis Complex (59 Columbia Dr., Tampa, FL 33606) on the following days:
- Tuesday, January 22: 3:30-5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 23: 4:00-5:30 p.m.
- Thursday, January 24: 3:30-5:00 p.m.
- Friday, January 25: 3:30-5:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT: The district tournament will be held the week that AHN is on Spring Break and all players should plan on being available. The tentative plan is for the tournament to take place on Monday, April 15, and Tuesday, April 16, with Wednesday, April 17, being set as a weather make-up day.
Please note that the majority of the season’s practices, along with home matches, will be held off campus at either the Sandra Freeman Tennis Complex or at Hillsborough Community College. Those interested in participating must arrange their own transportation.

HS TRACK AND FIELD SEASON START
The high school track season will begin on Tuesday, January 22. All those interested will meet at 3:45 p.m. under the sails of the Senior Pavilion, located between the soccer and softball fields. Below is a schedule for the first week of practice:
- Tuesday, January 22: 4:00-5:30 p.m. (AHN)
- Wednesday, January 23: 4:00-5:30 p.m. (AHN)
- Thursday, January 24: 4:00-5:30 p.m. (AHN)
- Friday, January 25: 4:00-5:30 p.m. (Jesuit)
IMPORTANT: Athletes who qualify for regions will be expected to participate in practices that will be held during AHN’s scheduled Spring Break.
Please note that as the season progresses the schedule will call for at least two practices a week to beheld at Jesuit High School. Those interested in being a part of the squad will need to coordinate their own transportation.

HS LACROSSE TRYOUTS
Tryouts for high school lacrosse will be held the week of January 28 on the following days:
- Monday, January 28: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 30: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, January 31: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
IMPORTANT: Should AHN be fortunate enough to be one of the top four teams in the district, the team will qualify for the district tournament which will take place the week of AHN’s Spring Break. Families should plan on the possibility of practices and games being held the week of April 15.
Please note that once rosters are set, each player will be required to purchase the Florida High School Athletic Association’s approved Cascade LX Headgear for a discounted fee of $120. Returning players who have their headgear from last season will not be required to purchase a new one. This safety feature, which is now mandated by the FHSAA, also covers up-to-date requirements for protective eyewear. Please click here for a link that includes information on the new headgear.
