In honor of Black History Month, students in the POWER club put together a beautiful presentation centered on the four pillars of the Black community: church, family, protest and education. Through dance, poetry and original skits, the girls shared with their peers a glimpse into Black culture and their personal experience. We were honored to have several alumnae in attendance for the program. As President Whitney told the audience in his intro, “Our Church, Bishop Parkes, and the Sisters of the Holy Names call us to open wide our hearts and minds to the treasures of the beautiful differences among us, so that we can better understand, respect and love one another.”
