To Be, Rather Than to Seem

High School Open House

What a wonderful day! On Sunday, October 23, over 300 prospective Class of 2027 students and their families joined us on campus for the 2022 Open House showcasing our all-girls High School, grades 9 through 12. The preview event was a great way for families to experience how the Academy continues to be a school defined by faith, excellence and love.

The welcome program began with a performance by AHN’s vocal ensemble, the Quarter Notes, and opening remarks from President Kevin P. Whitney, followed by High School Principal Jeane McNamara and Director of Admissions Pam Doherty.

During the rotations, future Jaguar families had the opportunity to meet our teachers and counselors and ask questions to students, parents, and alumnae. Student-led tours featured the Chapel, the Bailey Family Center for the Arts, college counseling, a curriculum overview in high school classrooms, two panels, and an academic expo showcasing more than 20 subject areas and clubs.

The event highlighted the Academy’s rigorous academic program that:

  • Is grounded in the Catholic faith.
  • Includes 22 AP courses (two of which are available to freshmen).
  • Integrates technology with a 2:1 MacBook and iPad program.
  • Offers STEM and Fine Arts diploma designations.
  • Features visual, performing, instrumental and technical theatre classes in a dedicated Center for the Arts.
  • Fosters involvement in the community through service and leadership opportunities.
  • Excels at 12 sports.
