Academy presented the 2021 state championship softball team with a special ring blessing and presentation ceremony. The entire team was on hand, including the seven alumnae members. After the 2020 season was cut short, the team’s motto became “unfinished business.” Two-year captain Rachael Petrarca ’21 spoke about the 2021 team’s come back from adversity after a tough start to the season, including a mid-season loss to rival Calvary Christian. She said, “What shows you more about yourself than your failures is how you respond to them. After that game, we came together to turn our season around. We didn’t lose a single game for the rest of the year, winning districts, regions and states.” Business finished!
