The Academy has earned the College Board’s AP Female Diversity Award for AP Computer Science Principles. Schools receiving this award have expanded young women’s participation in the course, helping close the gender gap among students.

“Computer science is the foundation of many 21st century career options, and young women deserve equal opportunities to pursue computer science education and drive technological innovation," says Stefanie Sanford, College Board Chief of Global Policy and External Relations. The Academy is honored to have earned this distinction four years in a row and looks forward to seeing these young women achieve success in computer science education and careers.
