In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, AP Spanish classes, Spanish Club and P.O.W.E.R. collaborated to host a Hispanic heritage gallery walk. Students in AP Spanish presented a project about influential Hispanic women and created a living wax museum. There were also cultural displays and Hispanic treats and music. Read more about the gallery walk in Achona. P.O.W.E.R. also hosted a dance lesson after school. Students learned several dance styles from a local instructor including salsa, merengue, bachata and tango. They had a lot of fun, worked up a sweat, and developed an appreciation for the art form and for the joy of dancing.
