The Academy's Mu Alpha Theta math team spent a week in Las Vegas at the National Mu Alpha Theta Convention. Competing against the best of the best, the ladies completed topics and level tests as well as speed math, mental math and the art of problem solving. During the week, the girls participated in 10 math competitions with thousands other students from around the country. Although many schools brought in excess of 20 students, our Academy girls showed them how it’s done. They finished 26th overall and every student max-scored on one of her tests. Additionally, Maddie T. A'19 placed 15th in the Mu Gemini calculus partner test. They wrapped up a great week with a Grand Canyon visit. Not too shabby for our first year in competition--the sky is the limit!
