Students Participate Virtually in National Jr. Beta Convention

The National Jr. Beta Convention was scheduled for last weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Instead, the students who qualified for the national convention participated in a virtual convention. AHN’s Jr. Beta Club entered the following competitions:

• Rising 8th-grader and National Jr. Beta presidential candidate Cameron P. submitted her speech as well as a question/response and a skit. She also created an Instagram page to help her campaign with students from all across the country.

Marketing and Communications – Five rising 9th-graders created a program called Kindness in Development or KinD. The point-based app enhances character in the school community by motivating students to perform good deeds.

Solo Performance – Reese E. submitted a dance performance.

• Quiz Bowl – Three rising 9th-graders and one rising 8th-grader competed in the Quiz Bowl by completing a test online.

The results will be announced in July!
