Seventh Grade Dives into the Keys

Our 7th graders spent last week in the Florida Keys snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, swimming with dolphins and learning all about different wetland environments! Over the course of these four days, students worked with the trip guides to increase their understanding of the various ecosystems and how each of us can work to better protect them. From participating in coral reef protection programs to visiting sea turtle hospitals, the students came away with a deeper appreciation and understanding for our wetlands. What a perfect way to lead up to Earth Day!
