On Thursday, November 3, we welcomed prospective families on campus for the 2022 Pre-K, Lower and Middle School Open Houses. The preview event was a great way for families to experience our Catholic learning community in action through a campus tour, conversation with teachers and leadership, and classroom observation.

The welcome program began with a performance by AHN’s 8th grade Rock Band and opening remarks from President Kevin P. Whitney, followed by Elementary School Principal Bridgid Fishman and Director of Admissions Pam Doherty.

During student-led tours by 8th grade Ambassadors, future Jaguars got a glimpse of student life at the Academy and explored the Chapel, the Bailey Family Center for the Arts, lower and middle school classrooms, the STEM lab, and more. It was exciting to showcase our newly renovated lower school and how we integrate technology in our classrooms and common spaces.

The event highlighted the Academy’s rigorous academic program that:

  • Is grounded in the Catholic faith.
  • Promotes kindness, respectfulness and compassion through social-emotional learning.
  • Fosters independence and the ability for students to advocate for themselves.
  • Features visual arts, drama, and music classes in a dedicated Center for the Arts.
  • Encourages involvement in the community through service opportunities.
