The Elementary School participated in "Start With Hello" Week in an effort to diminish social isolation among the student body and to foster a culture of inclusion at AHN. The week launched with "Hey Day," which encouraged students to talk to others that they haven't met before and continued with activities throughout the week. For their buddy activity, pre-K through 8th-grade students read and discussed the book "Kindness is Cooler, Mrs. Ruler." Students then worked on a 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 craft where they wrote and illustrated acts of kindness and good deeds that they can do for their family, friends and community. "Start With Hello" Week was a fun way for our students to learn how to create a well-connnected, supportive community.
