AHN readers competed in the Battle of the Books at Berkeley, and the competition was fierce! Students in grades 3-8 read 15 books selected by the Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) program over the course of a year and took a qualifying test to make the Battle of the Books teams. Our teams did great, finishing in 3rd and 5th place. Next year’s book lists have been released. See your librarians if you are interested in learning more about the program.
