On Friday, May 20, the Academy celebrated the 8th grade Class of 2022 at their graduation and honors ceremony. The class has certainly embodied the school motto "Esse Quam Videri," as well as the Elementary School’s theme for the 2021-2022 school year, “To Be Confident.”
“This is no ordinary class,” Elementary School Principal Bridgid Fishman pointed out. When the final grades were pulled, a very unusual situation arose. There were four students with a 97% average and two with a 98% average!
Congratulations to co-valedictorians GianLuca P. and Adriana L., and co-salutatorians Diego A., Alyssa L., Avery W., and Brian S. Diego A. and Layla E. received the Mothers Association School Achievement Award, and Brian S. and Avery W. received the Dads Club Scholar-Athlete Award. Congratulations, Class of 2022!
On May 17, the 24 young men from the 8th grade Class of 2022 were inducted into the Holy Names Alumni Association. Spencer Muratides ’06 shared a special poem that was followed by a speech from Carlos Baldor ’17, AHN lifer and big brother of 8th grader Andres. Carlos spoke to the gentlemen about the importance of the foundation he built at the Academy, which has helped prepare him for different stages of life. Congratulations to our newest HNAA members!
