To Be, Rather Than to Seem

AHN Attends BetaCon

Thirty 7th and 8th grade members of the Jr. Beta Club traveled to the Florida State Jr. Beta Convention in Orlando to compete in two days of academic and fine arts competitions. More than1,000 students from across the state participated in the two-day convention. Reese E. earned the highest score for a 7th-grader on the Science Academic Area Test. She also received a 2nd place award in the painting division of the Visual Arts Contest. Estella C. received a 2nd place award for her entry into the drawing division of the Visual Arts Contest.


Olivia B., Colleen B., Estella C., Olivia L., and Lauren W. won 1st place in the Marketing and Communications division for the marketing campaign they developed and delivered on a new program for our school that incorporates a leadership mindset platform. The six girls who placed in events have qualified to attend and compete in the National Jr. Beta Convention in Oklahoma City in June.
