The science program is based on research demonstrating that students learn best by doing science. Students are naturally curious about the world around them and engagement in meaningful learning experiences fosters this enthusiasm. As a result, Academy students grow in their appreciation of the world that God has created.

The curriculum emphasizes science as a process and continuous inquiry, where students do not just study a collection of facts, but are on a journey of investigation and discovery. Students develop a deep understanding of science concepts and principles through authentic investigations, analysis, and reflection. These investigations occur both in the classroom and in our outdoor spaces, and include opportunities for students to learn and apply engineering principles. Students engage in discussions and learn to support their statements with evidence they collected and research from multiple sources.
