Religion

The religion curriculum for early grades at the Academy of the Holy Names is engaging and expressive of the Catholic faith. Developmentally appropriate activities are used to engage students in prayer and faith development. Students learn Bible stories, prayers, Sacraments and the special call that God has for each of them.

In addition to religion classes, students begin and end each school day with prayer. The Office of Campus Ministry also schedules prayer service, Mass, and/or traditional Catholic activities weekly. Penance services are held twice during the school year. While sacramental preparation is arranged within individual parishes, students receive education about the Sacraments at the appropriate times.
