Lower School Faith in Action
In the Lower School, we work to nurture young minds and compassionate hearts. From the very start, our youngest students embark on a path of service and kindness, beginning with activities as simple as Pre-K students and their parents coloring Thanksgiving placemats for residents in assisted living facilities, kindergarteners singing Christmas carols to our neighbors at Angels Senior Living, or fourth graders writing letters to Sisters of the Holy Names.
On community service days, students learn about needs in the community and are called to action; they’ve packaged “Blessing Bags” for people who are houseless, prepared sandwiches for distribution at shelters, made blankets, and more. Even with the youngest, prayer and reflection on the joy of giving brings closure to service experiences.
