Getting Ready to be a 4th Grade Rock Star!
Campers reinforce math concepts learning the “whys” and the “hows” through instruction, fun small-group activities, and technology. Rising 4th-graders are guided through centers for both math and reading so they experience a variety of activities that expose them to the hands-on side of reading and math.
Math centers will explore fractions related to division, two- and three-digit addition and subtraction fluency, geometric shapes, and more. Reading centers will focus on point-of-view, reading comprehension, grammar, and more. We will begin and end each camp session with interactive whole-group activities in order to stoke their enthusiasm. As campers’ skills grow, their confidence begins to blossom and so does their love of reading and math!
This camp will have the opportunity to swim on Friday if weather and time permits.
