Weekly eNews: September 28, 2017

Dear FIRSTNAME,

I have been involved in education for a long time now and I cannot remember a year that started off the way this one has. Thus far, we have been on quite an emotional roller coaster but the silver lining has been the way in which our community has responded to those in need both near and far. As Thomas Groome writes in his book Will There Be Faith?, "To be 'catholic' calls a community to include all people in its hospitality and care. It demands that we reach out in love to everyone, the neighbors next door and those on the far side of the world. It means to care without borders." We are fortunate to live and work in such a caring community; our families always have been supportive of the Academy and I am calling upon you once again to show that support.

By now, you have received an invitation to the Blessed Marie Rose/Academy Ascending Dinner event on October 10th at the Jewish Community Center. At this event, we will be sharing plans for the renovation of the Bayshore Building. This re-imaging of our campus is now much closer to completion but we need your help. Admission to this event is complimentary, so I am asking you to join us to learn more about this exciting project and to prayerfully consider supporting at whatever level you are able. Please click here to register now.

The Sisters of the Holy Names have been serving the greater Tampa Bay community faithfully since 1881. Two of their core values are hospitality and education in the faith. The first one has been on display in our community in ways big and small for a long time but never more vividly than at the start of this school year. As far as the second one is concerned, it is why the school exists. There is nothing more important than the care we show day-in and day-out for our students. We pledge to continue to make education in the faith central to our mission of providing the best possible spiritual, academic and social experience for your children.

Sincerely,

Art Raimo

President
