Our high school students have been working tirelessly to bring these acting, singing, and dancing showcases to AHN! Admission to each performance is free. I hope to see you there.
Unplugged - Thursday at 7:00 p.m. A musical event coordinated by seniors Allie G. and Robin-Sailor Z.
So You Think You Can Dance - Friday at 7:00 p.m. Coordinated by Angie P. A'21 and Dayzha C. A'19, this dance competition features AHN students and two local companies.
The Graveyard Shift - Saturday at 7:30 p.m. A one-act play written and directed by Caroline L. A'20.

Art Raimo AHN News Children's Gasparilla Parade On Saturday, January 19th, the Academy will be walking in the Gasparilla Children's Parade and continuing the tradition of a pre-parade picnic. Everyone is welcome to join us and be part of the fun! AHN has two floats in the parade for our seniors and 8th-graders to ride. All other participants walk the short parade route and toss beads to the crowds.
Dads Club Night at the Yankees Second Grade Reaches 100% Participation! Congratulations to our 2nd grade class for reaching 100% participation in this year's Parent Annual Fund! They are only the second class to receive this honor this year and will receive a celebratory pizza and cookie party. Great job! Elementary School News Elementary School Father/Daughter Dance Join us on Friday, February 1st, for the Elementary School Father/Daughter Dance! The dance for lower school students will take place in the Brady Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the dance for middle school students will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner, a DJ, and a photographer. Click here to purchase tickets. Balloon Towers It's the first week back after a long break, so of course we needed a little fun in science! Mrs. Hendrickson's students were tasked with building the highest free-standing balloon towers possible with just masking tape and 25 balloons. The highest tower was 186 cm! High School News Academy Awards Talent Show Mark your calendars for the annual Academy Awards Talent Show on Sunday, February 10th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Bailey Family Center for the Arts. All proceeds benefit the Class of 2019 Senior Endowment. A link to purchase tickets will be live next week. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $8 at the door. College Admissions Speaker Freshman and sophomore parents, you are invited to join the College Counseling Office on Monday, February 25th, to hear from renowned author, motivational speaker and former Dean of Admissions, Mr. Peter Van Buskirk. He will present on the college admissions process, covering topics such as application strategies, cost and affordability factors, and tips for getting on college radar screens. Engineering Recycling Project Mrs. Wynn's Principles of Engineering students are in the prototyping phase of a new project! They are tasked with developing a device that will separate recyclable materials. The separation process must be fully automated, efficient, and must successfully separate commingled recyclable materials into individual holding bins. Athletics News Arts News Visiting Artist Join us on Thursday, February 7th, in the Bailey Family Center for the Arts as AHN's Kathryn Reina A'06 returns to talk about her career as a creative designer! Event admission is free, but please RSVP here. Broadway Workshop at AHN AHN will be hosting a Broadway Workshop on June 17th-21st from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Broadway Workshop's summer camp is an authentic, theatrical experience for young performers, ages 9-17, directly from NYC. The camp offers an exciting immersion into the extraordinary world of musical theatre while developing skills as a "triple threat" in acting, singing and dance. Click here to register.
