On Wednesday morning, we conducted a school-wide lockdown drill. While we felt the drill went as smoothly as possible, we have asked Tampa Police Department to review our procedure and advise us on any areas for improvement. We will also ask them to monitor our next drill. In the interim, this week we added a fifth security guard to our team. As always, the safety of your children and our faculty is a top priority.

7th/8th Grade Social
Tomorrow, Friday, March 2nd, is the 7th and 8th grade social in the gym! All 7th-grade students are invited to join us from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and 8th-grade students are welcome to stay one extra hour, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $5. Drop-off and pick-up are in the parking garage. Hope to see you there!
Cut for the Cure
AHN will again be participating in the Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Cut for a Cure! This year, both boys and girls will be able to participate to support children with cancer and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF). Boys in grades 1-8 will be able to volunteer to shave their heads as in past years. New this year, girls in grades 1-8 will able to volunteer to cut their hair for Pantene Beautiful Lengths. The Cut will take place on Friday, March 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. at AHN. If your son or daughter is interested in joining the team, please sign up here by tomorrow. We will then provide those families who sign up with further details.

Girls of the Garden Club
AHN's Spring Comedy, The Girls of the Garden Club, is coming soon to the Scarpo Family Theatre. Join us on March 22nd or 23rd at 7:00 p.m. for a night full of laughter. Tickets are $5 per student and $10 per adult. Seating is open. Click here to purchase your tickets today!

Dads Club Spring Cookout
Mark your calendars for the Spring Cookout on Wednesday, March 7th! The Dads Club will have the grill fired up and will provide burgers and beverages for all those interested in coming out to support our high school lacrosse and softball teams. The lacrosse team will take on Alonso at 6:00 p.m. and the softball team will host Berkeley Prep at 6:30 p.m.
