CROSS OUT CANCER, INC.
Over $470,000 in aid to date. Hundreds of families supported. 100% student-run. Since 2015, Cross Out Cancer has partnered with the Children's Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital to bring financial relief to families of children being treated for pediatric cancer. Through our board of high school cross country runners from around Tampa Bay, Cross Out Cancer continues to fundraise for a restricted fund at the Children's Cancer Center by hosting an annual 5K race, bringing the community together for a meaningful cause.
CROSS OUT CANCER, INC. AT A GLANCE
Composed of driven young high school students and cross country runners, Cross Out Cancer seeks to unite the Tampa community and make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer at the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Since 2015, Cross Out Cancer has raised money for a restricted fund that solely benefits the families of patients suffering from pediatric cancer at the hospital that are in immediate financial need. With total amounts fundraised from past races totaling over $47,000, $52,800, $63,000, $67,000, $80,000, $81,000, and $83,000. Cross Out Cancer not only raises the leaders of tomorrow but makes a tangible impact on the community its leaders are raised in.

Providing for a Family's Needs
At the heart of Cross Out Cancer's mission is fundraising money to ease the financial burden on families with a child suffering from pediatric cancer at the Children's Cancer Center. Our restricted fund covers car repairs, loans, roof replacements, groceries, rentals mortgages, treatments not covered by insurance, and anything else a family needs on a day-to-day basis. We believe the only concern of the families we help should be their child, not the cost of treatment.

At Cross Out Cancer, Inc., we are dedicated to creating a beautiful event in celebration of pediatric cancer patients. Our run/walk 5K accommodates non-runners, families, and competitors alike. Far from just a race, our event features music, face painting, dancing, complimentary food and drink, and speakers affiliated with the Children's Cancer Center and the Cross Out Cancer fund. Our next race is on November 19, 2022 at Picnic Island Park.

A Completely Student-Run Organization
What sets Cross Out Cancer apart is not just our focused mission, but our unique leadership. With all funds and the event itself entirely managed and contrived by high school cross country runners, sponsors and participants can take pride in their support of a truly incredible movement. Our current board is comprised of representatives from various high schools in the Tampa area, including the Academy of the Holy Names, Jesuit, Plant, Clearwater Central Catholic, and Berkeley Prep.
