State Latin Forum Awards

The Junior Classical League State Forum, hosted at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center in Orlando from April 11-13, saw the participation of seven 7th and 10th-grade Latin students from the Academy of the Holy Names. Under the guidance of Mrs. Judith Hahn and Mrs. Ariana Newman, the middle and high school Latin teachers, respectively, and sponsors of AHN's Junior Classical League chapter, these students showcased their talents alongside over 800 peers from 44 schools across Florida.

AHN's middle school students distinguished themselves, earning a trophy for 6th place in the Creative Sweepstakes and a plaque for 10th place in the Ludi Sweepstakes.

7th Grade:

The Academy's representation at the State Latin Forum showed the students' dedication to classical studies and their excellence in various academic and creative pursuits. As they return with accolades in hand, the AHN community looks forward to further successes in the realm of Latin studies and beyond.
