Jr. Beta Students Earn Statewide Recognition

Jr. Beta Students Earn Statewide Recognition

After three full days of competition, Academy of the Holy Names students returned from the Junior Beta State Convention with much to celebrate. Competing alongside more than 2,000 students from across Florida, our Jr. Beta members represented AHN with confidence, professionalism, and pride.

Their hard work and creativity were on full display across a range of academic and artistic events, earning several top honors:

Junior Beta State Convention Awards

  • Digital Art – 1st Place: Maddy Lezama
  • Onsite Drawing – 1st Place: Alex Odorzynski
  • Color Photography – 2nd Place: Kate Slezak
  • 8th Grade Language Arts: Helena Ruiz-Carus
  • 7th Grade Creative Writing: Grace Shoukry
  • 7th Grade Social Studies: Isla Rooney
  • Quiz Bowl Team: Qualified to compete in person at the state convention

Beyond the awards, our students distinguished themselves through teamwork, leadership, and encouragement of one another throughout the convention. They consistently demonstrated the values of the Academy community in every competition and interaction.

Their success is rooted in hard work, preparation, and consistent support throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of our Jr. Beta members and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their success on a statewide stage.
