The Academy of the Holy Names Celebrates the Class of 2026
On May 19, 2026, the Academy of the Holy Names High School celebrated the graduation of 112 seniors during commencement exercises at the Straz Center in downtown Tampa. The graduates leave AHN with accomplishments shaped by years of work in the classroom, service to others, leadership, and the sisterhood that defines the Academy experience.
The class earned numerous academic honors. Seventy-one students were inducted into the National Honor Society, and 80 graduates earned honors distinction with GPAs of 4.2 or higher. One student was named a National Merit Finalist, placing her among the top 0.5% of students nationwide on the 2024 PSAT, while four students were recognized as Tampa Tribune Scholars, an honor awarded to the top 3% of each school’s graduating class. Collectively, members of the Class of 2026 received more than $20.5 million in scholarship offers from colleges and universities across the country.
This year’s graduating class included twin sisters Adriana Lyons and Alyssa Lyons, who graduated as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.
“One of the greatest gifts of the Academy was learning that success is never something you achieve alone,” said Adriana Lyons, valedictorian. “The friendships, faith, and support system we built here shaped who I am just as much as any academic accomplishment.”
In addition to their academic achievements, the Class of 2026 completed more than 22,962 hours of service supporting religious, civic, and social organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond through domestic and international mission trips.
The Academy of the Holy Names congratulates the Class of 2026 and looks forward to the impact these graduates will make in their college communities and beyond.
Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Congratulations to valedictorian Adriana Lyons and salutatorian Alyssa Lyons! Twin sisters Adriana and Alyssa are believed to be the first twins in Academy history to graduate as valedictorian and salutatorian of the same graduating class. The sisters have been part of the AHN community since kindergarten and previously served as co-valedictorian and co-salutatorian of the Academy’s Eighth-Grade Class of 2022.
Throughout their time at the Academy, both students demonstrated exceptional commitment to scholarship and service, each completing more than 500 community service hours, including international mission work in Guatemala during their junior year. Collectively, Adriana and Alyssa received approximately $287,000 in scholarship offers and merit awards from colleges and universities nationwide.
Adriana and Alyssa were accepted to several highly regarded universities, including Wake Forest University, the University of Virginia, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before ultimately choosing the University of Florida Honors Program, where both plan to major in Chemistry.

Presented to a member of the senior class who possesses the qualities fostered by Blessed Marie Rose: character, service to others, and dedication to the AHN community. She must uphold the ideals of AHN and exemplify her motto, "Esse Quam Videri," or "To Be, Rather Than To Seem."

Presented to a senior athlete who has above average grades, a positive attitude and good conduct, a well-rounded personality, and who has been a member of at least two athletic teams during her senior year.
