Swim and Dive Team Finishes as State Runner-Up
The Jaguar Swim and Dive Team closed out their season with an outstanding performance at the 2025 State Championship Meet on November 7. With only nine individual qualifiers — six swimmers and three divers — the Jags made every race and dive count, finishing as State Runner-Ups with an impressive 180 points.
 
Leading the way was the 200 Medley Relay team of Ella Abele, Catherine Dieffenthaller, Sonja Petrov, and Parker Johnson, who claimed first place and set the tone for the team’s success.

Individual and relay highlights included:

  • 200 Medley Relay – Abele, Dieffenthaller, Petrov, Johnson — 1st Place
  • 200 Freestyle Relay – Dieffenthaller, Isabella Herrera, Hayes Lynch, Lila Biller — 11th Place
  • 400 Freestyle Relay – Petrov, Biller, Abele, Johnson — 10th Place
  • Catherine Dieffenthaller – 200 IM (1st Place) and 100 Breaststroke (2nd Place, Automatic All-American, School Record)
  • Sonja Petrov – 50 Freestyle (4th Place) and 100 Butterfly (4th Place)
  • Parker Johnson – 50 Freestyle (9th Place) and 100 Butterfly (14th Place)
  • Sara-Beth Grande – 1 Meter Diving (3rd Place)
  • Kileigh Floto – 1 Meter Diving (7th Place)
  • Taylor Browne – 1 Meter Diving (15th Place)
  • Lila Biller – 500 Freestyle (12th Place)

The Jaguars’ depth, determination, and teamwork propelled them to one of the strongest finishes in program history. From the pool to the diving boards, every athlete played a key role in the team’s success.
