Golf Team: 2A-Region 3 Runners-Up, State Tournament Bound
After winning districts, our Jaguar golf team displayed remarkable skill and teamwork, securing the title of 2A-Region 3 runners-up. This impressive accomplishment not only added another feather to their cap but also granted them an automatic qualification for the upcoming 2A State Tournament. The future looks bright for our golf stars as they prepare to represent our school on the state stage.
Swimming & Diving Team: 2A-Region 3 Champions and School Record Setters
The swimming & diving team left no room for doubt, clinching the coveted titles of district and region champions. At the 2A-Region 3 meet, their extraordinary performance included setting an impressive seven new school records. These records stand as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our student-athletes. The team's success has brought a wave of pride to our school, and we can't wait to see what they achieve at the state level.
Volleyball Team: 4A-Region 3 Champions and State Semifinals Await
After clinching the district title for 5th consecutive year, our volleyball team served up a dominant performance as they defeated Estero in straight sets to secure the 4A-Region 3 championship. With their victory, they have earned a well-deserved spot in the state semifinals scheduled for next Friday. The team's relentless determination and teamwork have paved the way for an exciting journey to the state final four. We'll be cheering them on every step of the way!
Cross Country Teams: Victorious at Private School Championships
The Jaguar JV and varsity cross country teams showed their prowess by winning the girls division at the Private School Championships held last week. In addition to their success at the meet, our four senior runners were celebrated for their dedication and commitment to the team. As they gear up for the district competition today, we wish them the best of luck.
AHNRC Dominates at Halloween Regatta
Last weekend, the AHN Rowing Club competed at the Bypass Canal against local rivals Plant High School, Berkeley Prep, Tampa Prep, Tampa Catholic, and Team Tampa, along with interstate teams, including Sarasota Crew. The AHNRC 1st and 2nd Varsity 8+s placed 2nd behind Sarasota Crew, with the Junior 8+ also in 2nd place and the Lightweight 8+ in 3rd. The 1st Freshman 8+ took 1st place, while the 2nd Freshman 8+ finished 2nd. The Varsity 4x came in 2nd, and the Junior 4x placed 3rd. AHNRC entered 11 boats, with 9 medaling and earning 67 medals. Next, they head to Chattanooga for the Head of the Hooch before starting sprint training in Tampa.
As our fall teams progress to state-level competitions and face new challenges, we have no doubt that they will continue to shine and make us proud. Go Jaguars!
