Class of 2024 Celebrates Last Day of School
The Class of 2024 celebrated their last day of school at the Academy with a day filled with time-honored traditions and unforgettable memories. Seniors marked the occasion by decorating their uniforms with their future college plans, showcasing their excitement for the next chapter of their lives.
The day began with Senior Sunrise on the front lawn, where the soon-to-be graduates shared a breakfast together and captured special moments with their peers. As the morning continued, high school students came together for a special Convocation/Senior Farewell featuring heartfelt speeches from Natalie Marks, Bella Otte, and Student Council President Tegan Drinkwater. Underclassmen contributed a touching senior video highlighting the profound impact the Class of 2024 has had on the school.
The seniors then took the stage to perform their senior song, "I Lived" by OneRepublic, followed by the alma mater. After the farewell, seniors partook in various fun activities and games in the gym. They then upheld the tradition of painting their names under the pavilion, leaving their mark on the Academy.
Filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia, the seniors gathered on the 4th floor to prepare for one of the most anticipated traditions of the day: running the halls. As they raced through the school, underclassmen and teachers lined the halls, cheering them on with enthusiasm. The grand finale saw the Class of 2024 running across the bridge and diving into the pool, marking the perfect ending to a memorable day.
This special day poignantly reminded the Class of 2024 of the journey they have experienced at the Academy, a place they have come to call home. It was a day of celebration, reminiscence, and joy as the seniors said goodbye to their alma mater and prepared for new adventures ahead.
