Alumna Releases Song Inspired by AHN
When JudyAnne Jackson ’26 stood before her classmates on their final day at the Academy of the Holy Names, she shared something deeply personal: an original song she had written to capture the emotions of graduation, friendship, and moving into the next chapter of life.
Now, that song has taken on a new life.
On July 31, JudyAnne officially released Growing Pains, a professionally recorded single inspired by her Academy experience and the memories she created throughout her high school years.
Written as a reflection on the bittersweet transition from high school to college, Growing Pains captures the excitement, uncertainty, gratitude, and hope that accompany graduation. The promo video features moments from JudyAnne's senior year and serves as a heartfelt tribute to the classmates, teachers, and community who helped shape her journey.
Her mother, Erin Jackson, shared that the song has become especially meaningful to their family because it reflects "the faith, friendships, encouragement, and sense of community" JudyAnne experienced during her seven years as an AHN student.
"Without question, choosing the Academy was one of the best decisions we have ever made for her," Erin shared. "This song reflects so much of what shaped her during those years."
JudyAnne is now continuing her education at Lipscomb University, where she will continue pursuing her passion for music while building on the strong foundation she developed at AHN.
The Academy congratulates JudyAnne on this exciting accomplishment and celebrates the creativity, authenticity, and courage she has demonstrated by sharing her story through music. We look forward to watching her talents continue to grow in the years ahead.
