AHN Inducts 95 Students into National Honor Society Members
The Academy of the Holy Names inducted 95 high school students into the National Honor Society (NHS) during its annual induction ceremony. The students were recognized for their commitment to the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. As part of the ceremony, current NHS members reflected on each pillar and what it means to uphold those values as a member of the organization.

Sara Moses, Chair of the High School English Department, served as the evening’s keynote speaker, focusing her remarks on character and the choices and experiences that continue to shape it. “Character reveals itself when things are complicated, when you have to make a choice, sit with the results, reflect on what happened, and decide how you will adapt for the next situation,” Moses told students.

She encouraged the inductees to view their NHS recognition not as the culmination of their accomplishments, but as an invitation to continue developing who they are through reflection, learning, and growth.

The newest members then recited the National Honor Society pledge, committing themselves to uphold the organization’s standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character before receiving their membership pins and signing the chapter registry.

The Academy also recognized this year’s NHS student leadership:
  • President Naomi Tamulski
  • Vice President Adelaide Chapuis
  • Treasurer Josie Wolff
  • Secretary Kate O’Brien
  • Parliamentarian Margarita Valdez-Puente
The ceremony concluded with the Quarter Notes leading the Academy Alma Mater, followed by a celebration of the newest members of the National Honor Society.

Congratulations to our newest NHS members!
