Academy Seniors Earn Prestigious PCA Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship

The Academy of the Holy Names is proud to recognize seniors Cate Cathey and Kate Wilary, who have been selected as 2026 recipients of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – Tampa Bay Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship.

Both Cate and Kate are standout multi-sport athletes, showcasing exceptional dedication across their athletic pursuits. Cate competes in soccer and track & field, while Kate competes in cheerleading, soccer, and tennis—balancing the demands of multiple seasons with commitment, discipline, and leadership.

This honor celebrates student-athletes who lead with purpose and demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, strong leadership, and respect for the game. Cate and Kate embody these qualities in every arena and reflect the values at the heart of an Academy education.

Selected through a competitive process that included applications, recommendations, and interviews, both students stood out for their character, integrity, and ability to lead by example. Their achievements reflect their athletic talent, strong character, and the positive impact they have made within the Academy community.

As part of the program, Cate and Kate were paired with mentors who supported them as they prepared for the transition to college and beyond. These mentors shared how lessons learned through athletics can shape future success. Cate and Kate also joined a network of student-athletes who continue to support one another long after graduation.

Each recipient received a $2,000 scholarship and was recognized at a regional celebration alongside student-athletes from across Tampa Bay. The Academy community celebrates Cate and Kate on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
