Exploring the Transformative Experience at Our All-Girls High School

Exploring the Transformative Experience at Our All-Girls High School

On October 29, prospective students of the Class of 2028 and their families joined us on campus for the 2023 High School Open House. The event allowed families to witness the ethos of our all-girls High School, spanning grades 9 through 12 and served as a snapshot into the school's commitment to faith, excellence, and love.

The opening program commenced with a captivating performance by AHN’s vocal ensemble, the Quarter Notes, setting the stage for President Kevin P. Whitney's welcome address. Director of Admissions Pam Larkins-Doherty ’87 further guided the audience through the program, highlighting the history and tradition of an Academy education.

Throughout the day, parents and aspiring Jaguars engaged with current students, faculty, counselors, and administrators. The agenda featured student-led tours encompassing various integral aspects of our institution, including visits to the Chapel, the Bailey Family Center for the Arts, insights into college counseling, classroom overviews, panels with students and parents, and an academic expo showcasing diverse subjects and extracurricular clubs.

The event highlighted the Academy’s comprehensive academic curriculum, which includes:

  • A foundation rooted in the Catholic faith.
  • A rich offering of 25 AP courses, three of which are available to freshmen.
  • An integrated technology program with a 2:1 MacBook and iPad provision.
  • Specialized diploma designations in STEM and Fine Arts.
  • Varied artistic classes housed in a dedicated Center for the Arts, encompassing visual, performing, instrumental, and technical theatre classes.
  • Emphasis on community involvement through service and leadership opportunities.
  • Excellence across 12 sports disciplines.

The success of this event paves the way for our upcoming High School Open House scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, at 6:00 pm. To participate, interested individuals can find more details and RSVP here on our website.
