Children's Gasparilla Parade

AHN is thrilled to be participating in the 2024 Children’s Gasparilla Parade, one of Tampa’s most treasured traditions! Join your AHN family for a pre-parade picnic followed by an exciting 1.7 mile walk down Bayshore Boulevard on Saturday, January 20.

Pre-Parade Picnic | 1:00-4:00 pm
All AHN families are invited to join us for a pre-parade picnic at 1:00 on the Bayshore playground. Colony Grill food truck will be available until 4:00. You may also bring your own food for lunch. Please note this is an alcohol-free event.

Parade Wristbands | 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Parade wristbands are available to all AHN families who would like to walk alongside our float in the parade. Wristbands will be distributed to AHN parents only from 1:00-3:00 at the Bayshore Playground. Parade participants must be in place by 3:30 for the parade start at 4:00. Our float is #47 and will be staged on Bayshore Boulevard between West El Prado Boulevard and West Waverly Avenue.

The Parade | 3:00-6:30 pm
All AHN families are welcome to walk in the parade. The float is reserved for our students. Wristbands are required to enter the parade route. Participants are to arrive at the float at 3:00 pm and not before 2:45 pm; all participants must be in place by 3:30 pm for the parade to start at 4:00 pm. You must plan to walk the entire parade route. We are float #47 and will be staged on Bayshore Boulevard between El Prado Boulevard and West Waverly Avenue. The parade officially begins at Bay to Bay Boulevard and ends at Edison Avenue. Everyone participating in the parade should have a departure plan in place. Academy will not provide transportation back to the school.

DAY-OF PARKING (if available) is first come, first served and will utilize the parking garage on the MacDill Avenue campus. Gates open at 10:00 am and will lock at 10:00 pm.
