2026 fall tryout information
High School Golf (Location: Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club)
The high school golf team will hold tryouts at Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, at 8:00 am. In the event of inclement weather, we will also have reserved times at the course for July 30 and July 31.
Those planning on trying out will need to contact head coach James Fredericks at greatexpectationsgolfacademy@gmail.com no later than July 15. Athletes who register for tryouts will be assigned tee times for their two rounds by Coach Fredericks.
The season will begin with practices at Temple Terrace on August 18, 19, and 20. The opening match will be vs. Plant High School at MacDill AFB on August 25.
Those who make the team can expect to have practice and/or a match 2–3 times per week during the season. Home matches will be held at Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, and practices will be held at Temple Terrace or MacDill AFB. Home matches will be at 4:00 pm, with away matches being dictated by the host school/course. We will also play the occasional 18-hole invitational, which is most often held on a Monday.
The District Championships will once again be held at Temple Terrace at the end of October. The Regional Championship will be held the following week at a site yet to be determined, and the State Championships will be held at Mission Inn Resort at Howey-In-The-Hills the second or third week of November.
The 4-time defending District Champion Jaguars are seeking a 5th consecutive trip to the State Championships. It’s sure to be another successful season, both on the course and in the classroom.

recent Achievements
2025 Postseason: 2A-District 10 Champions, 2A-Region 3 Champions, 2A State Tournament 3rd Place
The Academy golf team earned its fourth consecutive District Championship and its first Regional Championship since 2013. It marked just the fourth regional title in program history. AHN continued its historic postseason run at the 2A State Tournament, finishing third overall — the highest state finish in school history.
