Financial Aid & Scholarships
FINANCIAL AID
The Academy understands that affordability is a major consideration for parents. Therefore, we welcome inquiries and applications from current and prospective families about our financial aid program. We strive to partner with families to ensure that an Academy education is accessible to all qualified students. The Academy of the Holy Names is a participant in the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program.
Admissions and financial aid processes are independent of each other. The Academy of the Holy Names uses FACTS to assist in collecting and analyzing financial data submitted by families.
In order to qualify for financial aid, a child must be accepted in the school, and families must have submitted a financial aid application through FACTS by December 31. Need-based financial aid is a grant, not a loan, and is allocated on a first come, first served basis to families.
Please contact Chief Financial Officer John Donohoe with any specific questions.
FLORIDA TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIPS
In 2023, House Bill (HB) 1 was signed into law which eliminates the income restrictions on the FES-EO and FTC Scholarships, thus making all children of Florida residents who are eligible to attend public school in grades K-12 eligible for a scholarship. At this time, the Academy of the Holy Names is participating in the program.
The Academy participates in the program through Step Up for Students, as the only School Funding Organization (SFO). Applicants can only receive one of the available scholarships outlined below. For example, you cannot receive both FES-EO and FES-UA in the same year.
AHN can accommodate specific students who qualify for FES’s Unique Abilities (learning differences) Scholarships. These students will be assessed through the Admissions process and must demonstrate academic abilities that are on or above grade level. Some students diagnosed with a unique ability can be successfully accommodated by AHN while upholding the school’s mission to provide an academically advanced curriculum.
