Apply to Pre-K

Applications for the 2026–27 school year are now closed. 

For your convenience, all applications are completed and submitted through an online admissions portal.

To become an official applicant for our Pre-K program, please complete the online application within the admissions portal and submit the non-refundable $75 application fee.

In order to apply for our pre-kindergarten program, your child must be at least four years old before September 1 of the upcoming school year. 

Discover our beautiful campus firsthand through one of our visit opportunities. While you are welcome to explore in more than one way, families need to attend only one of the experiences below to get a true feel for our community:

• Schedule a Private Tour: Enjoy a personalized visit with our Director of Lower School Admissions. A private tour gives you the chance to see our classrooms in action, ask questions, and experience the Academy at your own pace. Please note: spots are limited; only applicants are eligible to register for a private tour.

• Register for Pre-K Open House: Attend Pre-K Open House on November 13, designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of our admissions process and highlight the distinctive aspects that make the Academy unique. Visit our Admissions Events page to view all events.

No matter which option you choose, each visit provides an authentic glimpse into life at the Academy and helps you imagine your family as part of our community.

As part of our application, we ask that Pre-K applicants provide one key document to help us better understand their academic, developmental, and personal achievements.

• Teacher recommendations: These insights from educators who know you best offer valuable perspectives on your child's strengths, areas of growth, and overall character.
• The recommendation form should be submitted through the online admissions portal. Teacher recommendations should be submitted after the first 9 weeks of school have transpired. Specific dates and deadlines are provided in the applicant checklist. 
• Note: Pre-K applicants applying to multiple schools, may submit the BAAIS Pre-K & K School Recommendation Form. 

We encourage families to apply for our financial aid program. We strive to partner with families to ensure that an Academy education is accessible to all qualified students.

Admissions and financial aid processes are independent of each other. The Academy of the Holy Names uses FACTS to assist in collecting and analyzing financial data submitted by families.

In order to qualify for financial aid, you must also apply for Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (Step Up for Students), and submit a financial aid application through FACTS by December 1. Need-based financial aid is a grant, not a loan.

Note: While we will review financial aid applications submitted after December 1, please note that priority consideration is given to applications received by the deadline.

As part of the admissions process, a screening is required for Pre-K applicants. Screenings happen on AHN's campus in a group setting.

Pre-K screenings take place in January and February. The screening date and time will be assigned and communicated by the admissions office. In order to attend your assigned screening, you must have all required items from your application checklist complete.

Admissions decisions will be notified by the beginning of March.
