For your convenience, all applications are completed and submitted through an online admissions portal.

To become an official applicant and gain access to your application checklist, please complete the online form within the admissions portal and submit the non-refundable $75 application fee.

Discover our beautiful campus firsthand through one of our visit opportunities. We want this process to be meaningful and manageable for your family. Please consider scheduling a personal tour or attending Open House. Families only need to attend one of the experiences to get a true feel for our community:

• Private Tour (applicants only): Enjoy a personalized visit with our Director of Middle School Admissions. A private tour gives you the chance to see our classrooms in action, ask questions, and experience the spirit of the middle school at AHN.

• Open House on November 13 (open to all): Attend the Middle School Open House, designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of our admissions process, hear from our administration, and highlight the distinctive aspects that make the Academy unique.

• Shadow Day (applicants only): We encourage all prospective middle school students to spend half a day alongside a current student, attending classes, meeting faculty, and experiencing daily life at the Academy. Shadow Days offer an authentic glimpse into our middle school community and help students imagine themselves as a part of it.

We encourage families to apply for our financial aid program. We strive to partner with families to ensure that an Academy education is accessible to all qualified students.

Admissions and financial aid processes are independent of each other. The Academy of the Holy Names uses FACTS to assist in collecting and analyzing financial data submitted by families.

In order to qualify for financial aid, you must also apply for the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (Step Up for Students), and submit a financial aid application through FACTS by December 1. Need-based financial aid is a grant, not a loan.

Note: While we will review financial aid applications submitted after December 1, please know that priority consideration is given to applications received by the deadline.

As part of our application, we ask that applicants provide a few key documents to help us better understand their academic and personal achievements.

• Report cards. These documents provide a comprehensive view of your academic progress and achievements over time.
• Standardized test scores from the past two years. These scores give us insight into your academic aptitude and potential, helping us ensure that our program is the right fit for your child's educational journey.
• Teacher recommendations. These insights from educators who know you best offer valuable perspectives on your strengths, areas of growth, and overall character. Teacher recommendations should be submitted after the first 9 weeks of school have transpired. Specific dates and deadlines are provided in the applicant checklist. 

All documents can be submitted through the online admissions portal.

As part of the admissions process, an entrance exam is required for each applicant. The 5th grade through 8th grade entrance exam takes place February 7, 2026.

Admissions decisions will be notified by the beginning of March.
