Information for College Representatives

Thanks for being here! The College Counseling office welcomes visits from college representatives and is available for scheduled in-person or virtual visits. We have a calendar of available times for visits. If a virtual visit is chosen, we will provide the meeting link for you to meet with our interested students. If a time that you are looking for is not available, please contact kkeegan@holynamestpa.org. We look forward to hosting you!

The Academy of the Holy Names is located at 3319 Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33629, approximately 3 miles south of the heart of downtown Tampa via beautiful, historic Bayshore Boulevard and 9 miles southeast of Tampa International Airport.

The College Counseling office is located on the 3rd floor of the main building on Bayshore Blvd. Please enter the front of the school via Bayshore Boulevard.

The Academy of the Holy Names is on a rotating block schedule. We can accommodate college visits between 8:15 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and between 8:45 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Wednesdays.

College visits may vary in length between 30 minutes to an hour per session. The college counselors will take time to meet with each college representative. Students are allowed to meet with college representatives at the discretion of their teachers.

Closed Monday, 10/14; Opening Tuesday, 10/15

Important Update: Due to a technical issue, our Veracross communications system is currently down. Please note that school will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14, reopening on Tuesday, Oct. 15. We encourage you to share this information with others in our community. We will send official details via email and text as soon as we are able. Please see abbreviated message below.

Our facilities crew and several administrators have worked exhaustively the past two days to assess and start to prepare our campus for a return to school this week. At this time, we are pleased to report that the Academy has regained full power, and most debris and damage have been restored so that operations can be resumed. However, there is still more work to be done on campus and in light of the ongoing recovery efforts across our community, we recognize that many of our faculty, staff, and families remain displaced or without power. To allow additional time for everyone to return safely and be fully available, the Academy will remain closed on Monday, 10/14 and will reopen on Tuesday, 10/15.

Please note the following updated schedule for this week:

Monday, Oct 14: No school – classes and all extracurriculars canceled; Open to families from 9:00-1:00 to use playground and electricity as noted above. Mass will be held at 9:00 am in the Chapel of Blessed Marie Rose.

Tuesday, Oct 15: Reopen for normal school day. Extracurriculars resume.

Wednesday, Oct.16: HS Mission Day planned for Wednesday is TBD; Plans to cancel or reschedule will be forthcoming

Friday, Oct.18: Full instructional day (previously scheduled for a half day)

Friday, Oct.18: Trunk or Treat is TBD; information will be forthcoming
