High School Registrar

The Academy of the Holy Names seeks a high school registrar who is talented, detail-oriented, a self-starter and energetic for the 2017-2018 school year. The position is full-time.

Qualifications

  • A diploma from a four-year high school
  • A reasonable degree of proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
  • A working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines
  • Three years’ experience as an administrative assistant or high school registrar
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping process

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain all high school cumulative files.
  • Prepare transcripts for former students.
  • Prepare schedules and schedule changes as instructed by the curriculum specialist.
  • File incoming records from feeder schools.
  • Move records to appropriate grade, placing proper labels for grade level.
  • Update demographic data in computer database.
  • Request records, as needed.
  • Maintain records and generate reports, as requested.
  • Assign lockers by homeroom, assigns student locks, combinations, logs location and updates for same as needed.
  • Verify contents of folders for incoming 9th-graders, follow up on missing paperwork as delegated by administrative assistant, assistant principal, or principal.
  • Bookkeeping for high school clubs.
  • Handle other responsibilities as needed.

Head Rowing Coach - High School

The Academy of the Holy Names Rowing Club is looking for a head coach for the 2017-2018 school year. The AHNRC is run by the head coach and is supported by a Board of parents. This is a paid, part-time position without benefits; salary is commensurate with experience. Travel expenses are included in compensation.

Practices for the fall season begin in August and end in November, before the Thanksgiving holiday. Spring season begins upon the return from Christmas break in January and continues through SRAA Nationals in May. Practices are Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Some Saturday practices could be scheduled per the coach's discretion and Board agreement, and/or a fitness plan is to be prepared to give girls to self-complete on Saturdays. Coaching opportunities may extend into the winter and spring breaks as long as membership permits.

Those applying for the position would also be considered for any teaching openings that may be available. Minimum teaching requirements include a bachelor’s degree in the related subject; a valid Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in the related subject; demonstrate proficiency in instructional technology; and be supportive of Catholic education.

  • Enthusiasm for the sport of rowing.
  • Teaching novice rowers a competitive stroke.
  • Running practices on the erg and on the water (outdoor practices: Rivercrest Park, Tampa, FL./indoor practices: Academy of the Holy Names High School, Tampa, FL).
  • Attendance at all practices, meetings and regattas.
  • Developing a fitness/conditioning/strength-training/ workout tor the athletes to complete on their own.
  • Fostering an environment for developing rowers to achieve success at the state, region and national levels.
  • Supervising student-athletes during regattas.
  • Supervising assistant coaches as needed.

The crew coach reports to the Academy of the Holy Names athletic director and works in conjunction with the Academy of the Holy Names Rowing Club Board.

Head Softball Coach - High School

The Academy of the Holy Names seeks a high school softball head coach for the 2017-2018 school year. The high school softball program has experienced great success over the past eight years, capturing numerous district championships and advancing to region play each of these years. The 2016-2017 season saw the team make school history, earning the school’s first region championship in the sport and advancing to the state tournament for the first time in softball program history.   • Serve as a role model to the team, demonstrating character on and off the field

Long-Term Spanish Substitute

Qualifications
