ABOUT
Welcome to the Academy of the Holy Names!
Founded in 1881, the Academy of the Holy Names is a private Catholic school for boys and girls in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade and a college preparatory high school for young women, located on 19 scenic acres along Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. Sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, our institution is deeply rooted in Catholic values and offers a safe and nurturing environment for academic and personal growth.
At the Academy of the Holy Names, respect, care for one another, and the full development of the human person are not mere words. They are the principles that drive our community and inspire our students to strive for excellence.
