Science is all about experimentation, and last week the 7th- and 8th-graders were doing just that! While using their iPads and newly downloaded apps, students participated in a scavenger hunt to learn more about their science materials and equipment. When arriving in Mrs. Watson’s class, students were first asked to scan a sheet of scientific clues using the genius scan app. Once scanned, they were able to upload the clues to notability, an app that allows students to fill in answers on their iPads using their stylus pen or a text box. With iPads in hand, they then moved around the room examining equipment and matching the equipment name to its clue. When the activity was complete, students then saved their work in a science folder in their notability app. With the school year just beginning, Mrs. Watson is impressed with just how much the students are able to accomplish utilizing their iPad to stay organized and learning about their science equipment.
