  • AHNRC Succeeds at State Sculling Championships

    Last weekend the AHNRC headed to Sarasota to compete in the 2015 State Sculling Championship. The squad made the most of the weekend with the Freshman 2X boat of McKenzie Holmes and Caitlyn Helms and the Freshman 4X boat of Julianna Wright, Catie Moffett, Ashley Anderson and Emma Heston finishing 1st scholastically. The AHNRC now focuses their attention on the State Sweeps Championships, which will be held at Sarasota’s Nathan Benderson Park the weekend of April 25th-26th. Congrats to head coach Taylor DeMesa and staff, and best of luck to our rowers!

  • Senior Caroline Lozo Voted Hometown Hot Shot

    Senior Caroline Lozo was voted Tampa Bay Times' HomeTeam Hot Shot of the week. The tennis star has been on AHN's varsity tennis team since 7th-grade. She is looking forward to competing in her sixth straight state tournament after winning No. 1 singles at districts and helping the Jaguars qualify as a team in Class 2A.   • Senior Colleen Doherty Named to 2015 FHSAA Academic All-State Team

    Congratulations to Colleen Doherty (A'15) for being named to the 2015 FHSAA Academic All-State Team! Honorees are selected both for their academic and athletic accomplishments, as well as their service to the community. Statewide, only 24 athletes were chosen; each will receive a $1,000 college scholarship.

  • Senior Basketball Player Caroline Kimbler Plays in Final All-Star Game

    Senior Caroline Kimbler was nominated to play in this past weekend’s annual Gulf Coast All-Star Game. The teams were comprised of top seniors from Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Caroline led her team and finished with an impressive 8 points, 3 steals, 2 assists and 2 rebounds.

  • AHNRC Heating Up in Preparation for States and Nationals

    At last weekend's District Regatta, the team had an excellent showing with the boats listed below earning 1st place finishes. The team now has its sights on the State Sculling and State Sweeps Championships scheduled for the weekends of April 11th and April 25th. Best of luck!
