  • Middle School Athletics - Winter Tryouts

    • Girls Soccer (6th-8th Grades): Monday, November 3rd and Tuesday, November 4th from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
    • Girls Basketball (6th-8th Grades): Monday, November 3rd and Tuesday, November 4th from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
    • JV Boys Basketball (6th Grade): Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
    • Varsity Boys Basketball (7th-8th Grades): Thursday, November 6th and Friday, November 7th from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

  • Required Athletic Forms

    Prior to the beginning of athletics practice and tryouts, the Athletics Office must have completed EL2, EL3 and Concussion and Heat Related Illness forms on file. This applies to both middle school and high school student-athetes. Forms may be turned in to either the head coach or athletic director Kevin Vargas prior to or on the date of the first scheduled practice or tryout. Without the completed forms, the student will not be allowed to participate.

    Spike & Splash for the Cause

    The 6th annual Spike & Splash for the Cause was a huge success! Academy and Jesuit joined forces and raised more than $11,000 for Moffitt Cancer Center. Click here to view a video of highlights from the night.

  • Swim Team Wins Catholic School Championships

    The Holy Names swim team continued its year of dominance by winning the Catholic School Championships by 68 points over runner-up St. Thomas Aquinas (4A powerhouse). This was a great dry run for the girls before the State Series begins in just five weeks.   • Cross Country Places 2nd

    Led by Greta Dieck's 3rd place finish and Lucinda Lennie's top 20 finish, the Academy cross country team placed 2nd overall among 18 teams at last Saturday's Seffner Christian Invitational. Six individuals ran personal best times on the slow, muddy cross country course and Alexa Fredericks placed 1st in the JV race, pacing the JV team to a 3rd place finish.
